A unique educational event will take place on September 10 - 11, 2020 in St. Petersburg. It is a course on arthroscopy of the ankle joint under the guidance of the world famous surgeon Nick van Dijk with participation of the Vreden Russian Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics.
Nick van Dijk author’s course has existed for more than 20 years, and every year it attracts more and more students from around the world. Several years ago, Professor van Dijk decided to conduct his training seminars not only at his home in Amsterdam, but in other different parts of the world, and St. Petersburg has been selected as one of them.
The course includes two days of intensive training, one of which is devoted to theoretical foundations and live surgery, and the second day to development of practical skills of arthroscopic surgery, on cadaver under the guidance of Professor van Dijk.
The items of the course are:
- Examining of a patient having pathology of the ankle joint;
- Practical anatomy of the ankle joint;
- Anterior ankle arthroscopy;
- Posterior ankle arthroscopy;
- Ankle instability.
